What is a Grizzly Feeder & Imen Sang Shekan Expertise
A grizzly feeder sits at the head of the crushing line and performs two tasks simultaneously: it feeds rock into the jaw crusher in a steady, controlled stream, and it scalps oversize stone, clay and fines before they reach the crusher.
Imen Sang Shekan engineers grizzly feeders to match rock hardness, feed moisture and line capacity. Our technical team calculates grizzly opening, deck angle, vibration amplitude and drive type on site so primary-jaw wear is minimized and real throughput is maximized.
The right feeder means less load on the jaw, lower power draw and longer life for the entire crushing line.
Why Imen Sang Shekan Grizzly Feeders?
- All-wear-resistant body: HARDOX or hardened ST52 steel plates withstand sharp, hard rock.
- Replaceable grizzly bars: High-manganese steel bars are pin-mounted for quick replacement.
- Adjustable vibration: Counterweight tuning or eccentric-shaft adjustment optimizes flow for dry or wet rock.
- Portable skid: Welded steel frame can be wheel-mounted for mobile sites.
- Power-optimized: Correct vibrator motor sizing cuts amperage and running cost.
Applications & Model Recommendation
The choice between a grizzly feeder and a vibrating feeder depends on feed type:
- If feed contains oversize (+300 mm), clay, fines or loose layers, a grizzly feeder is essential. Pre-scalping lets the jaw work on standard rock only and can raise real capacity by 20%.
- If feed is already pre-screened and fairly uniform (e.g., in asphalt or batching plants), a vibrating feeder is sufficient and more economical.
Common applications:
- River and hard-rock quarries
- Stationary and mobile crushing lines
- Asphalt and concrete plant feeding
- Road, dam and tunnel projects

Three Feeder Types Compared
Imen Sang Shekan designs three feeder models for different project conditions:
Single-Shaft Grizzly
One eccentric shaft with counterweights creates circular vibration. Simple structure, lower cost and easy maintenance. Best for light to medium loads and dry rock with under 5% moisture.
Double-Shaft Grizzly
Two contra-rotating eccentric shafts generate strong, linear vibration. Higher throw force, ideal for heavy, wet or sticky rock. Amplitude is more precisely adjustable and wear is lower under fluctuating loads.
Vibrating Feeder
Only provides uniform feeding; no scalping grid. Suitable when rock has already passed a primary screen or when oversize removal is unnecessary. Lower cost, higher throughput and quieter operation.
